Reports can be purchased in person or by mailing in a money order, certified check or company check made out to the City of Birmingham. No personal checks will be accepted.

The Birmingham Police Department has a long history dating back to 1864 when Alanson Partridge was appointed town marshal. In 1921 the police department was a 3 man operation complete with 1 motorcycle and a Model T pick-up truck. The department moved into the “new” Municipal Building in 1928 and the operation remains there today.
